Justin Drew Bieber (born March 1, 1994) is a Canadian singer. He began his professional career on YouTube, where he was discovered by his future manager, Scooter Braun. Braun flew Bieber to Atlanta, Georgia to consult with Usher and soon signed a record deal with Island.

He is working on his debut album My World which will be released on November 17, 2009. Two successful pre-album singles have been released: “One Time” and “One Less Lonely Girl”, and both were Top 15 hits on the Canadian Hot 100 and Top 20 hits on the Billboard Hot 100.

Justin Bieber was 12 years old when he entered a local singing competition in Stratford, placing in second. He taught himself how to play the piano, drums, guitar, and trumpet. In late 2007 Justin and his mother began posting videos on YouTube so that his family and friends that could not attend his performances would be able to view them, posting cover versions of songs by artists such as Usher, Stevie Wonder, Ne-Yo, Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson. He was soon approached by a Toronto-based company called Rapid Discovery Media, who assisted him in running his YouTube and MySpace accounts, producing, editing and promoting his videos. After posting his rendition of Chris Brown’s “With You”, Brown personally called Bieber and congratulated him on his YouTube recognition.


Scooter Braun, a former marketing executive of So So Def, discovered his videos, and flew Bieber to Atlanta, Georgia where he met with R&B singer/songwriter Usher. A week later Bieber had the opportunity to sing for Usher who immediately became greatly interested, giving him an audition with Antonio L.A. Reid at Island Records who signed him to Island Records in October 2008. Justin Timberlake was reportedly in the running to sign Bieber, but he eventually signed with Usher.

Bieber is working on his soon to be released debut album My World, which will be released on November 17, 2009. The album will feature guest vocals from Usher, who appears in the music video for the single “One Time”. Bieber is on a promotion tour promoting his single and has made various appearances on several radio stations. The first single “One Time” reached number 12 in Canadian Hot 100 during its first week in July 2009, and number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.



With Miranda Cosgrove, Bieber was a presenter at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, and introduced Taylor Swift. A few days earlier, Bieber had performed “One Time” on mtvU’s VMA Tour to precede the awards. Internationally, he appeared on the European program The Dome and performed “One Time”. On September 26, 2009, Bieber performed on YTV’s The Next Star, it was announced that “One Time” had gone Platinum in Canada , and Bieber was awarded with a plaque. The single has also been certified Gold in the U.S. by the RIAA The album’s second single, “One Less Lonely Girl” was released exclusively to iTunes on October 6, 2009. It was announced in October 2009 that to support his debut effort, Bieber will tour with Taylor Swift on two of her United Kingdom stops of her Fearless Tour and go on a five-date tour himself in Canada, sponsored by Urban Behavior. Bieber has frequently appeared on Canada’s MuchMusic, and made his first non-MTV U.S. television appearance when he performed “One Time”, “One Less Lonely Girl”, and “Favorite Girl” live on The Today Show on October 12, 2009. Bieber will also guest star in an episode of True Jackson, VP later this year. In October 2009, Bieber was voted as the #5 “Best Good Example of 2009″ by AOL’s JSYK

No need to rent high cost diving gear or search for a specific location just to view forest of colorful coral reefs and all their inhabitants. They are scattered all over the place! The islands are reported to be the home of 242 different kind of fish as well as 133 genera of aquatic fauna. Just get your snorkel set ready at hand, plunge into in the water and enjoy….


Here are some hints on what you can do while you stay in the islands:

1. Swim with sharks: Really?.. Yes, really!.. Swimming with sharks is a must to do activity while you stay in the islands. Test your guts and have memorable pictures taken with the sharks circling around you in the conservatory shark pool.

2. Fishing: Night fishing is a favorite activity to some visitors. Do it by your self or join a tournament that frequently held by local government and institution.

3. A trip by glass bottom boat: Not really an Olympic qualified swimmer?.. Fear not people, there are plenty shallow water in the surrounding. But if you want to see the marine life in deeper water, joining a glass bottom trip is a must.

4. Islands hopping: Club hopping?.. Mall hopping?.. Naah, that’s old news. Islands hopping is the ‘it’ activity for you to do in the islands. Remember, there are 27 of them, and all waiting for you eager beaver marine lover. (See how my words rhyme perfectly?..)

5. Diving: If you are one of the people who are not satisfied by snorkeling slowly around the islands, diving is definitely an option. Rent a diving gear and get set to the various diving sites available in the islands.

Cyanobacteria or blue-green bacteria are a phylum of aquatic bacteria that obtain their energy through photosynthesis. They are often referred to as blue-green algae, even though it is now known that they are not related to any of the other algal groups, which are all eukaryotes. Nonetheless, the description is still sometimes used to reflect their appearance and ecological role. Fossil traces of cyanobacteria have been found from around 3800 million years ago, making cyanobacteria some of the earliest living things known.
This group includes unicellular, colonial and filamentous forms. Some filaments have differentiated cells which are specialized for nitrogen fixation, called heterocysts. Each individual cell typically has a thick, gelatinous cell wall, which has a gram-negative stain. They lack flagella, but may move about by gliding along surfaces. Most are found in freshwater, but some are marine or occur in damp soil. A few are endosymbionts in lichens or of various protists, and provide energy for their host.

Photosynthesis in cyanobacteria generally uses water as an electron donor and produces oxygen as a by-product, though some may also use hydrogen sulfide as occurs among other photosynthetic bacteria. Carbon dioxide is reduced to form carbohydrates via the Calvin cycle. In most forms the photosynthetic machinery is embedded into folds of the cell membrane, called thylakoids. The large amounts of oxygen in the atmosphere are considered to have been first created by the activities of ancient cyanobacteria.

There are two main sorts of pigmentation. Most cyanobacteria contain chlorophyll a, together with various proteins called phycobilins, which give the cells a typical blue-green to grayish-brown colour. A few genera, however, lack phycobilins and have chlorophyll b as well as a, giving them a bright green colour. These were originally grouped together as the prochlorophytes or chloroxybacteria, but appear to have developed in several different lines of cyanobacteria.

Chloroplasts found in eukaryotes (algae and higher plants) most likely represent reduced endosymbiotic cyanobacteria. This endosymbiotic hypothesis is supported by various structural and genetic similarities. Primary chloroplasts are found among the green plants, where they contain chlorophyll b, and among the red algae and glaucophytes, where they contain phycobilins. Other algae likely took their chloroplasts from these forms by secondary endosymbiosis or ingestion. The question of whether chloroplasts had a single origin or developed in multiple lines has not yet been settled.
